Environment
Just a few notes on the type of world I want my piece to exist within:
Cold world, very impersonal - but since we don’t meet anyone besides the protagonist and his doppelganger, it’s unclear as to whether this is due because of everyone’s attitude or whether it’s just because that is the way our protagonist prefers to live. Perhaps he finds it easier to simply get through the day by detaching himself from it and the rest of society.
Cold and wet outside, possibly raining. Maybe it’s not raining but has been recently such that the streets are slick and shiny, puddles everywhere. For the duration of the piece, it will always be night-time, always dark bar the streetlights and the odd passing car.
Limited location information - a non-descript big American city, a la New York - All the camera work outside will be shot close to the protagonist to retaining this feeling of enigma and everyone keeping themselves to themselves.
